Cookies
The short version
This website sets no advertising cookies, runs no analytics and builds no visitor profile. The only thing we store in your browser is the answer you give the small privacy panel, so we do not ask again on every page. Accepting changes nothing today, because there is nothing optional to switch on; it is recorded so that we know your answer if that ever changes.
What we store
One entry in your browser’s local storage, named k2elk-privacy-v2. It records which of the two answers you gave, accept or decline optional, and it expires after 180 days. It is not a tracking cookie, it is not sent to our server, and it is not shared with anyone. Nothing in it identifies you.
What we do not store
No analytics cookies, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no social media trackers, no cross-site identifiers, no A/B testing tools, and no session recording. Fonts and media are served from k2elk.com rather than a third-party CDN, so opening a page does not announce your visit elsewhere.
Hosting logs
Our host, Vercel, processes technical request data such as IP address, time, browser and requested path in order to deliver and protect the site. That happens in server logs, not through cookies, and we cannot switch it off without taking the site down. The privacy notice covers it in more detail.
The contact form
Submitting the contact form hands your enquiry to FormSubmit for delivery and a spam check, and that service may set its own cookies at that point. It happens only when you send the form, never while you are simply reading the site. You can always write to info@k2elk.com instead.
Changing or clearing your choice
Clear site data for k2elk.com in your browser settings and the stored preference disappears. The privacy panel then appears again on your next visit. Blocking local storage for this site is fine too; the website works without it.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any other optional cookie, we will say what it does before it loads and ask you again. The choice you gave under this notice is not consent for anything introduced later.
